Our client is looking for someone with creative interior design talent and project management experience to be their Design Manager. In this role, you will manage the design of individual locations’ interiors for new and redesign projects from beginning to end. This is a great job with an established, growing company. Responsibilities

  • Design and manage art overlays for multiple locations working with artists and existing art pieces; maintains corporate brand standards in all locations
  • Carefully maintain original design intent when working on redesign locations
  • Work with Construction Department to ensure design elements and finishes are aligned with company required specifications
  • Ensure location furnishings, lighting, fabric and other finishes are effective and within budget
  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments and external parties including interior designers, architects and other third parties to complete art packages
  • Manage design projects and schedules to completion/implementation
  • Manage budget and negotiates design pricing
  • Source local artists for design projects and maintain database of artists
  • Review and define contracts, fees, etc. to support artists from start of project through project installation


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 5+ years’ hospitality or retail industry design experience
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, managed multiple projects simultaneously
  • Stellar presentation skills and ability to communicate your ideas
  • Outstanding negotiation and relationship development/management skills
  • Able to excel working on teams and independently
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry design trends
  • Skilled at designing a large space(s) with cohesive design, not just one room
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings and commercial design elements including furnishings, lighting and finishes
  • Independent contractor management skills
  • Able to listen to multiple creative visions and requirements to develop a strong design concept
  • Highly creative and accustomed to shifts in direction and flow of the creative process
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Adobe Photoshop experience
  • AutoCAD experience


Must have digital portfolio of relative art or design work


Travel up to 40%
